Maria Gzyl, born in 1998, is a student of I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (Poland). She is currently doing a Master's Degree in violin and a Bachelor’s Degree in symphonic conducting. In the academic year 2019/20 she was studying violin at Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid (Spain) within the Erasmus+ Programme. Since 2017 Maria has an opportunity to work with many orchestras, such as: Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra, Ars Longa, Orchestra of Music Theatre in Poznań, String Orchestra of the Academy. She played many concerts with them in various concert halls, for example Konzerthaus Berlin, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Kölner Philharmonie or Aula UAM in Poznań. It involved working with great conductors (Eiji Oue, Ariel Zuckermann, Łukasz Borowicz, Marek Pijarowski, Jakub Chrenowicz) and amazing soloists (Rafał Blechacz, Bomsori Kim, Michail Lifits, Sharon Kam, Lukáš Vondráček). She also recorded several CD’s with these orchestras. Maria is also developing as a chamber musician, being successful as a member of a piano trio. Since she started playing the violin at the age of 7 until graduating from high school, she participated in many solo competitions, winning numerous awards. Maria still evolve through participation in masterclasses. Her development as a musician is also improving by conducting practice with Philharmonic Orchestra in Jelenia Góra and both symphony and string academic orchestras.
