Pietro Silvestri

Born in the year 2000, Pietro Silvestri starts playing the cello at the age of 5 years old. He takes part in his first international competition at age 8. One year later, he enters the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello, in Venice, studying with maestro Angelo Zanin.
He takes part in masterclasses from renowned cellists such as Antonio Meneses, Giovanni Sollima, Mario Brunello, Guy Johnson and Stefano Cerrato.
At the age of 10, playing in the Venice Cello Ensemble, he performs with Mario Brunello, and later records for Radio Vaticana.
As a soloist, he performed multiple times in Teatro La Fenice, as well as in the Palazzo Ducale of Venice.
In 2020, he is selected as a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and - thus - of the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (OGI).
As a member of the Orchestra Busoni, he performed in Trieste and in Milano, in the presence of Maestro Salvatore Accardo.
In 2021, he won the first prize in two categories of the Rossini competition, Pesaro. He recently received his diploma with full marks, laude, and mention of honor.
