Justyna Grudzień

Justyna Grudzień was born in Poznań, Poland. She started playing the violin when she was 7 and since then, she has participated in numerous violin competitions winning over 50 prizes in total. First prize winner at competitions in Tokyo, London, Paris, Geneva, Belgrad, Sarajevo and Athens, she also triumphed at "I will be a Virtuoso" International Violin Competition in Cracow, won 2nd prize at 5th Ernst&Szymanowski International Violin Competition in Wrocław and “Młody Paganini” International Violin Competiton in Legnica, Poland, was one of the finalists of the 2nd Grażyna Bacewicz International Violin Competition and joined semi-finalists at the 1st Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition.
Justyna has been awarded many scholarships, such as “Young Poland”, the Scholarship funded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Scholarship of Marshal of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship or Scholarship of Business and Professional Women’s Club Poznań. She also got the Special Prize of Poznań City four times in a row.
She was invited to become a member of the Youth Jury at 14th and 15th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition.
She started building her orchestral experience when she was 9. She performed with various ensembles, including Europera Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Academy Orchestra and European Music Campus Orchestra. She took part in Europa Chor Akademie in Görlitz where she worked with Symphoniker Hamburg. Justyna has already performed in the most prestigious European halls, including Gewandhaus in Leipzig, DR Koncerthuset in Kopenhagen and Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and many cities in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Austria and Poland.
In 2019, Justyna joined European Union Youth Orchestra. As their member, she played concerts at Konzerthaus in Berlin, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Royal Opera House in Muscat, Rudolfinum in Prague, Philharmonie Luxembourg and Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
Currently, Justyna is studying at I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań under the supervision of Karina Gidaszewska.
