Malin Grass was born in may 1998 in Pforzheim. At age 7 she started to learn the violin with her grandfather, who was also a violinist.
After participating in several competitions, she has won prizes on regional and national level.
In 2014 she became a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Germany. The following three years of tours took her around the world to greater concert halls such as Berlin Philharmonie, National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing, Konzerthaus Vienna and Guangzhou Opera House and gave her the opportunity to work with conductors like Daniele Gatti, Sir Simon Rattle and Alondra de la Parra, to have only named a few.
2017 she played Side-by-Side with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam at Berlin Philharmonie in the project „RCO meets Europe“.
In Autumn 2017 she began her studies at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with Prof. Viviane Hagner.
In October 2018 she won a scholarship of the Yehudi-Menuhin-Foundation and is part of the concept „Live Music Now“.
Malin became a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2019, 2020 as well as 2021.
Since autumn 2019 she is studying with Prof. Nurit Stark in Stuttgart.
