Sofía Fasla Prolat

Sofía Fasla Prolat is a Spanish-Belarussian violinist, born in Madrid in 1996.

She began her violin lessons with her father and later continued with Zorik Tatevosyan. Finished her pre-bachelor studies at Adolfo Salazar Conservatory in Madrid with Honors.

In 2019, completed her Bachelor studies with Muriel Cantoreggi at the Hochschule für Müsik Freiburg obtaining the highest qualification. Sofía has participated in several Festivals and played in its concerts such as the British Isles Music Festival, Holland Music Sessions, the International Cervo Academy, International Music Festival Schloss an der Jagst Kirchberg, Proyecto Musical Villa de Lerma, Kammermusikfest Freiburg, Fundación Eutherpe in León, MusaE, Fundación Olivar de Castillejo and the Aurora Chamber Music Festival.

Prize winner at several chamber music competitions of the municipality of Madrid with her quartet which included to perform in the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Museum Cerralbo and the College of Architects. Sofía has been awarded with the second prize at the Enkor International Violin Competition, and has been finalist at the Intercordes Paris International Competition and Concurso Internacional Ciudad de Vigo.

She is currently member of the Basel Piano Trio, that performes regularly in Swizerland and was recently invited by the Fundación Vitoria Vital. Has received master classes from Nora Chastain, Mikyung Lee, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, Maria Egelhof, Vera Martínez-Mehner, Alexander Janiceck, Lara Lev, Paul Rosenthal, Martin Beaver and Valentin Erben. Joining the Junge Deutsche Philarmonie in 2018 (JDPh) and as a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), Sofia has had the opportunity to perform all around Europe. Sofía has been scholarship holder from the Association of Artists Performers in Spain, scholarship holder of the Regional Government of Madrid and has been scholarship winner of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, being now part of the Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now” concerts around Germany.
