Jaume Pueyo Solà

Jaume Pueyo Solà was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1995. He began playing the violin as a child, but after pausing for 7 years, he actively returned to his studies at the age of 19 with the support and guidance of Ana Isabel Galán and Andrés Fleta.

He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree with the violin at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona with Dani Cubero, who is also his chamber music mentor. In this past 2 years, he has developed a strong interest in playing the viola, having recently received advice from Ashan Pillai.

During his studies, he had the opportunity to receive classes from musicians such as Lukas Hagen, Catherine Manson, Gordon Nikolic and David Quiggle. He is also a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC) since 2018, led by Manel Valdivieso, which allowed him to participate in the Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland programme in the summer of 2019. He is also very passionate about chamber music.
